Lake Michigan!!

Here are some more pictures of our trip to Lake Michigan, Indiana,

Oh, boy has it been a while..

What has happened since I last wrote:

Trip to Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin.

 4-H fair

Volunteer at New Purpose Retreats

 The Garden

It seems like lately the days have ticking by so much faster. I have so enjoyed my summer break. We start school back on the 25th of July. Our county 4-H fair stated the last Saturday and we have been down there already a couple times for our Dog Demo. We actually did a demo the day it was 117 heat index. Talk about miserable. =)
Our trip to Minnesota for the Huntington's Disease Society of America annual convention was a couple weeks ago. We were soo grateful for the scholarship we received. It was a very informative and fun time. Not to mention we got to to see so many states we have never seen! I love traveling!! =D  Here are some pictures I edited from our trip to Lake Michigan. (lovely place!)

Then followed that beautiful season... Summer....
Filled was the air with a dreamy and magical light; and the landscape
Lay as if new created in all the freshness of childhood.
       ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass on a summer day listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is hardly a waste of time.
~John Lubbock

Heat, ma'am! it was so dreadful here, that I found there was nothing left for it but to take off my flesh and sit in my bones. ~Sydney Smith, Lady Holland's Memoir

(this quote is for those in Kentuckiana who experienced 117 heat index on Monday =) =)

I walk without flinching through the burning cathedral of the summer. My bank of wild grass is majestic and full of music. It is a fire that solitude presses against my lips. ~Violette Leduc, Mad in Pursuit
